The first ever Moses Award to a person who has stood up in Europe for Israel and the Jewish people in an exemplary way, was today bestowed upon Israel´s Ambassador to Norway and Iceland, His Excellency Alon Roth, who previously served at Israel´s diplomatic mission in Brussels for seven years.

The award is a painting by the Norwegian painter Reidar Kolbrek, who painted it upon the specific request of the Chairman of Kristen Koalisjon Norge (KKN) Jan-Aage Torp, who officiated with his wife Aina at the ceremony, which was held at Solheimen Conference Hotel in Hedalen, on the mountains 150 kilometers west of Oslo.

The Moses Award Laureate Alon Roth received a plaque with a photo of the painting. The original painting will be permanently exhibited at the Israeli Embassy in Oslo.
